The Automated Credit Bureau Dispute and Clearance System
The Automated Debt Review Dispute System (ADRDS) is an innovation by the AACS that is designed to assess and detect any irregularities associated with the unlawful and invalid debt review listing and advise the consumer on the appropriate action to take to resolve and remove the flag.
Debt Review Dispute and Clearance: The ADRDS automatically logs the dispute with the NCR for investigation. Where the NCR determines the debt review flag is unlawful or invalid, it will be removed.
Credit Bureau Clearance: In the same manner the system can automatically log a dispute with the Credit Bureaus to clear defaults, judgments, administration listing.
Credit Bureau Listings
Below are the major listings that will negatively affect your application for any type of credit.
Once they are placed on your credit record, it becomes your responsibility to get them removed by lodging a dispute with either the NCR or the Credit Bureaus in a prescribed manner and submit required documents - see required documents in the next section.
* Debt Review Flag can only be removed by the NCR
* Judgments, Defaults, Administration can be disputed and removed by the Credit Bureaus.
Steps to Log a Dispute
1. Select the relevant button for type of dispute
2. Complete the questionnaire
3. You will receive email with instructions and links to upload and sign necssary documents.
4. Submit the documents
5. The Automated Dispute System will automatically log the dispute with the NCR or Credit Bureaus
6. The system will trigger periodic progress update request to the NCR or Credit Bureaus
7. Receive resolution email and Updated Credit Report within 7-30 days
